How to apply for positions at Skagit Transit:
Applications are accepted for open positions only and must be received by the closing date.  Incomplete applications may not be accepted.  Application packets for open positions are available on this Web site and at Skagit Transit's
offices.  Please do not send resumes without a completed application packet.

Selection Process:
The selection process can take several weeks to complete. Applications are screened for those who meet minimum job requirements. Selected applicants will be invited for an interview. Supplemental testing may be required. Additional steps in the selection process include reference checks, physical exam, pre-employment drug screen, driver's license check, criminal background check and education verification.

Benefits:
Skagit Transit offers a benefits package for all employees regularly scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(a) and 457 qualified deferred contribution plans, employee assistance program, Flexible Spending 125 Plan and an employee bus pass.

Drug and Alcohol Program:
For all safety-sensitive positions employment is contingent upon passing a  pre-employment drug screen.  All safety-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing while employed by Skagit Transit.

Proof of Citizenship or Employment Authorization:
Federal law requires employers to document the identity and citizenship/employment authorization of each new employee. Successful applicants must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
