Full Service and Masks
Mask Requirements during Normal Service on Skagit Transit
Whether you are riding our commuter service or our local service, we want to welcome you back to our service. WE MISSED YOU!!!
A few things have changed during our slowdown. We have a new electronic way to pay your fares called the UMO Mobility smartphone app (FREE to download on android and iPhone). UMO also has real-time bus arrival information built into the app. You can know where your bus is at all times and when it will arrive at your stop. The UMO trip planner can help you find the quickest way to your destination. UMO has a card option as well for those who prefer to not use their phones.
Just remember that as important as it is to know where your bus is, it is important to know where your mask is. The CDC still requires masks when you are riding on public transportation or in one of our buildings.
Masks are required for all rides on Skagit Transit as put forth by the Centers for Disease Control and the TSA Security Directive published by the US Dept of Homeland Security.
The mask mandate on transit has been extended thru January 18th, 2022.
Masking is not required in outdoor settings near public transportation. We understand that this can be confusing. When in doubt, please wear your mask until you have had a chance to ask our staff if it is okay to remove it. Our goal is to work with our riders to make our return to normal the joyful event it should be.

We appreciate your cooperation during this national crisis.
