September 7th Service Change
Skagit Transit is introducing new service starting September 7th. There are a number of improvements being introduced.
On weekdays, Route 207 will operate every 30 minutes from 9:15AM until 6:15PM. Riders going to Wal-Mart, the YMCA, and Skagit Valley College will have reduced wait times for the next bus.
Route 207 will depart Skagit Station at :15 and :45 past the hour.
Flex Route 717
Route 717 will now be FLEX ROUTE 717. It will stay in the Concrete area all day making an hourly loop. It will deviate off route to pick up riders who may have issues reaching a standard bus stop. Advance reservations are required for the bus to deviate and pick up a rider. Please call 360-757-4433 for more information on how this works.
Flex Route 717 will service the Red Apple, the post office and the senior center in Concrete.
Route 70X is a new EXPRESS route connecting Concrete and Sedro Woolley with Skagit Station in Mount Vernon. There will also be stops in Lyman and Hamilton. This route will run every 3 hours.
A rider looking to go from the Sedro Woolley Park & Ride Lot to Skagit Station has a 20 minute trip on the Route 70X. That is much faster than the hour and fifteen minute trip using the Routes 300 and 208.
A rider from the east county area can now reach Skagit Regional Hospital, several grocery stores, or Wal-Mart with a single transfer at Skagit Station.
