Skagit Transit offers a generous employee benefits package that includes options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. In addition, Skagit Transit offers a 401(a) retirement plan with 5% employee and 5% employer contribution match. All employees are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following their hire date. Provisions made based on employment status.
We offer full-family medical coverage for full and part-time employees with a reasonable employee contribution. We also offer a Telemedicine benefit for employees and dependents at no cost to the employee.
Medical Waiver: If you have health insurance elsewhere (for example, you are covered under your spouse’s insurance) you can receive financial compensation for waiving health insurance through Skagit Transit.
Dental and Vision
We offer full-family dental and vision coverage at no cost to the employee.
Skagit Transit provides $12,000 basic life insurance coverage provided through Washington Counties Insurance Fund (WCIF). Supplemental life and AD&D insurance can be purchased by employees through payroll deduction.
