POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of customer service functions involving direct public contact either on the phone or in person. Inspects and maintains the Skagit Station community meeting room and serves as the contact for building emergencies and inquiries.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Answer questions from the general public and staff via telephone, e-mail, or in person regarding route and schedule information, fares, bus stop locations and transfer points

Maintain up-to-date knowledge on transit system information including schedule changes, rider alerts, detours and Supervisor directives

Sell bus passes; make change; balance and reconcile the cash drawer daily

Receive and document customer comments, complaints, and commendations

Create identification cards using a laminating machine

Receive and record lost and found items
-
Coordinate Skagit Station community meeting room including showing the room, issuing keys, arranging furniture and light cleaning as needed

Represent Skagit Transit in a positive and professional manner

Drive a company vehicle between MOA and Skagit Station daily

Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Perform other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the job. A typical way to meet this requirement would be:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
2 years of experience performing public contact work in call center or customer service
-
Money handling and general office experience
-
Valid Washington State Driver’s License
-
Maintain acceptable driving record
