ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Develop and implement multi-year marketing and communications project strategies to promote Agency services and increase ridership

Support the Planning and Outreach Manager in the creation and distribution of press releases, publications, reports, advertising, and promotional materials

Plans and executes targeted campaigns and promotions for key audiences, including commuters, students, and the public

Serves as lead administrator for the Agency website; manages content, functionality, and coordinate with support from the IT team

Oversee Agency social media channels, ensuring timely, accurate, and engaging content

Ensures consistency with Agency branding standards across digital and print platforms

Fosters and supports partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and civic groups.

Coordinates Agency representation in community events, sponsorships, and outreach programs, with the support of the Community Engagement Coordinator and the Events Coordinator & Travel Trainer

Facilitates the creation and execution of public engagement strategies by gathering and sharing community feedback to guide and support Agency decisions

Develops and nurtures strategic relationships with community members and key stakeholders.

Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the job.
A typical way to meet this requirement would be:

Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, business, political science, English, public relations, marketing, or related field

3 to 5 years professional experience in marketing, public affairs, communications, or community outreach

Experience in public sector or transportation is preferred

Must maintain valid Washington State Driver license and acceptable driving record
