The Marketing and Public Affairs Specialist will develop and implement programs, promotions, activities and events that accomplish the Agency goals of building ridership, enhancing public support and improving the efficiency of external outreach efforts. This individual will also provide education to community organizations, agencies and individuals about Skagit Transit services through one-on-one and group assistance, social media, general marketing and printed materials.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Identify and establish effective working relationships with partner agencies and work group representatives
•Work closely with various agencies to identify individuals in need of training in order to utilize transit services
•Prepare and conduct presentations to select agenies on transit services, including Fixed Route, Paratransit and Travel Training services to better educate partner agencies
•Develop educational material to supplement agency publications including material for senior citizens or those with special needs
